Raquel Vanessa Brito

Retired mathematics teacher from Petrópolis Girls' School

  • 🇧🇷 Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
  • 1980 to 2003
  • Portuguese, Spanish
For 23 years I was the mathematics teacher at Petrópolis Girls' School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I played music while people worked. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Raquel

Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Raquel: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
