Rania Sawsan Rashid
Baking for 41 years in Shubra
- 🇪🇬 Shubra, Cairo, Egypt
- Old Shubra Workshop
- Since 1985
- English
I've worked in baking since 1985. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,350 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I sing in a choir.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Rania
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rania: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
