Ramon Mendoza
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇵🇭 Lapu-Lapu, Cebu, Philippines
- Lapu-Lapu Football Club
- 1988 to 2000
- English
I coached chess at Lapu-Lapu Football Club from 1988 to 2000. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Ramon
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Ramon: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
