I've played oud since 1993, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
My favorite gigs are the small ones where somebody cries a little in the third row.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Rakesh
I write my first song when I was 14. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Rakesh: Any gift will help me keep teaching kids who can't afford lessons.
