Rajan Kale
Tabla and saxophone teacher
- 🇮🇳 Pune, Maharashtra, India
- Elmwood Quartet
- 1981 to 2007
- English, Gujarati
I've played tabla from 1981 to 2007, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I fix old bicycles.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Rajan
I wrote my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Rajan: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
