Rainer Meier
Special education and history teacher, Wiesbaden
- 🇩🇪 Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany
- Gateway Secondary School
- 1992 to 2006
- German
For 14 years I was the special education teacher at Gateway Secondary School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Rainer
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Rainer: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
