Rahma Sara Slimani
Youth hockey coach and mentor
- 🇪🇬 Luxor, Luxor, Egypt
- Since 1993
- English, Spanish
For 33 years I've run the hockey program at Luxor Boxing Gym in Luxor. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Rahma
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Rahma: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the day we all got the giggles in assembly. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Saint Paul.
