Rafiq Shafiq Sheikh
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Gazipur, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Highland Shop
- 1988 to 2012
- English, Bengali, Spanish
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 1988 in Gazipur and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Rafiq: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
