I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and 34 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 1,020 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Rafaela
If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

You taught me music in 2002 at Petrópolis High School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
