Rafael R. Hernandez
Helping people break into first-generation students
- 🇵🇭 Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Caloocan Youth Network
- Since 2017
- English, Filipino
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 360 people through Caloocan Youth Network.
I learn every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Rafael
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Rafael: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
