Rafael P. Santos

Helping people break into first-generation students

  • 🇺🇸 Bronx, New York, United States

  • Since 1978
  • English, Spanish
For 48 years I've mentored people in first-generation students and nursing. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening. I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I sing in a choir. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Rafael: A gift would go toward free mentoring sessions for people who can't pay.
