I've been a nurse for 16 years, most of them in midwifery at Lakeview Children's Hospital in Uberlândia. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I run most mornings.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
