I taught early years and English literature at Holy Cross Primary School, Lansing. I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 190 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Rafael
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
