Rachel Watkins
Oud player and teacher in Bakersfield
- 🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States
- Bakersfield Ensemble
- 2009 to 2022
- English, Spanish
I've played oud from 2009 to 2022, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 19 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Rachel
I wrote my first song when I was 15. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Rachel: Any gift will help me keep teaching kids who can't afford lessons.
