Rabia Hatice Polat

20 years teaching art in Gaziantep

Our Lady of Peace Girls' School
Since 2002
English

I teach art and geography at Our Lady of Peace Girls' School, Gaziantep. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it. Over the years I've had 1,150 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Rabia

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

Subjects taught

Art Geography Biology

What gifts mean to Rabia: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
