I taught religious studies at Oakwood Grammar School in Hanoi from 1982 to 2016. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 1,730 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Quỳnh
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
