Queen Comfort Afolabi
Cross country and fitness coach, Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Community Club
- 2008 to 2024
- English, Hausa
For 16 years I ran the cross country program at Lagos Community Club in Lagos. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Queen
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Queen: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
