I taught art at Andes Primary School in Cairo from 1988 to 2020. Most days I taught Year 9, and I never turned anyone away.
I ran the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
