My subject is civil engineering, and for 44 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Manchester Institute of Technology.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.

If you wrote a dissertation with me, I probably still have a copy on my shelf.
