I spent 15 years as a lecturer in public health at Los Angeles State University in Los Angeles. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a farmhand and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Prof. Wheeler
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Prof. Wheeler: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
