My subject is civil engineering, and for 24 years I got to share it with undergraduates at Hồ Chí Minh City University.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I fix old bicycles.

What gifts mean to Prof. Vuong: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
