I've spent 41 years as a lecturer in economics at Liberty University in Buenos Aires. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I run most mornings.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Prof. Velasco
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Prof. Velasco: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
