Prof. Vargas

My subject is political science, and for 40 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Tuxtla Gutiérrez State University.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Prof. Vargas
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Prof. Vargas: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
