I teach mathematics at Highland Polytechnic since 1991, and supervised 42 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
What gifts mean to Prof. Valdez: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
