Organic chemistry lecturer, Since 1993

I've spent 33 years as a lecturer in organic chemistry at Crescent Polytechnic in Manchester. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Prof. Thomas
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Prof. Thomas: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
