I've spent nine years as a lecturer in law at Gateway College in Adelaide. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
