I've spent 37 years as a lecturer in statistics at Silverlake Institute of Technology in Kyiv. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
What gifts mean to Prof. Smirnov: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
