My subject is materials science, and for 37 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Elmwood State University.
I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Prof. Sandoval
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Prof. Sandoval: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
