I've spent 36 years as a lecturer in mathematics at Westbrook University in Aberdeen. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Prof. Ruiz
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Prof. Ruiz: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
