I've spent 37 years as a lecturer in astronomy at Summit State University in Cape Town. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Prof. Pretorius
If you wrote a dissertation with me, I probably still have a copy on my shelf.
What gifts mean to Prof. Pretorius: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
