I teach public health at San Jose State University since 1981, and supervised 30 dissertations along the way. Former students now work as a farmhand and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Prof. Prescott: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
