I've spent 31 years as a lecturer in public health at Sakura Polytechnic in Novosibirsk. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a bus driver and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Prof. Polyakov
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
