I've spent 43 years as a lecturer in sociology at Cedar Grove Institute of Technology in Arusha. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Prof. Mwende
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Prof. Mwende: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
