I've spent 25 years as a lecturer in modern history at Petrópolis State University in Petrópolis. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
What gifts mean to Prof. Mendes: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
