I've spent 41 years as a lecturer in marine biology at Lincoln State University in Bucaramanga. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a night-shift cleaner and in a dozen other fields. It is the best part of this job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Prof. Maldonado: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
