I've spent 38 years as a lecturer in computer science at Wollongong College in Wollongong. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
