I spent 28 years as a lecturer in civil engineering at Orchid Polytechnic in Nairobi. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Prof. Kato: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
