I spent eight years as a lecturer in marine biology at Ribeirão Preto University in Ribeirão Preto. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a bank clerk and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
What gifts mean to Prof. Guimarães: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
