I've spent 42 years as a lecturer in architecture at St. Mary's Polytechnic in Feira de Santana. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
