I've spent 21 years as a lecturer in agriculture at New York Institute of Technology in New York. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a shop assistant and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Prof. Fernandez
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.

What gifts mean to Prof. Fernandez: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
