I spent 17 years as a lecturer in organic chemistry at Toulon Polytechnic in Toulon. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a farmhand and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Prof. Durand
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Prof. Durand: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
