I've spent 46 years as a lecturer in astronomy at Hồ Chí Minh City University in Hồ Chí Minh City. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I sing in a choir.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
