I've spent ten years as a lecturer in civil engineering at Hillcrest Institute of Technology in Grand Rapids. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a nurse and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
What gifts mean to Prof. Díaz: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
