I spent nine years as a lecturer in mathematics at Kilimanjaro State University in Lyon. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
