I've spent 43 years as a lecturer in public health at St. Mary's Institute of Technology in Rio de Janeiro. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I never raise my voice. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Prof. Costa
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Prof. Costa: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
