I've spent 43 years as a lecturer in economics at St. Mary's Institute of Technology in Petrópolis. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I walk the dog by the river.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Prof. Carvalho
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Prof. Carvalho: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
