I've spent 46 years as a lecturer in philosophy at Heritage State University in Braunschweig. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a nurse and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Prof. Braun: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
