I taught statistics at Juiz de Fora Polytechnic from 1979 to 2009, and supervised 14 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Prof. Borges
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
