Priya T. Van der Merwe

Choir director and singer

  • 🇿🇦 Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
  • Summit Orchestra
  • 1997 to 2017
  • English
I play jazz and violin. I started in 1997 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness. I teach about 6 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.

More about Priya

I wrote my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
