Priya P. Cloete
Home economics and geography teacher, Pietermaritzburg
- 🇿🇦 Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
- 1989 to 2003
- English
I taught home economics at Summit Technical College in Pietermaritzburg from 1989 to 2003. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I never once raised my voice.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Priya
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Priya: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
